Dermaplaing makes skin noticeably smoother, firmer and free of vellus facial hair. Dermaplaning utilizes a planing tool to scrape off the stratum corneum to reveal a brighter complexion and healthier skin. Treatments are recommended monthly.

Dermaplaning promotes cellular turnover and increases collagen and elastin fibers. The layer of dead skin cells and facial hair that trap dirt and bacteria are removed, allowing for better product absorption and effectiveness.
It is great as an anti aging treatment and creates a flawless canvas for your makeup application.

30 to 45 minutes if you are combining with a chemical peel.

Yes, there is no downtime. You may resume normal activities as soon as you leave your appointment. You may experience some temporary redness that subsides quickly.

Dermaplaning does NOT interfere with the follicular structure of the hair, therefore it has no effect on hair growth whatsoever. Vellus hair has no appearance of a blunt “cut” end when dermaplaned.

Once every 4 weeks/monthly to achieve optimum benefits.

Individuals that are allergic to nickel, have numerous raised lesions, inflamed acne or have received Accutane treatments within 6 months should not undergo this procedure.

TCA Peel

A Trichloracetic Acid Peel is a stronger, medium depth peel. TCA peels are often used for the treatment of wrinkles, blemishes and skin pigment changes.
TCA Peels can also be applied to the neck and other parts of the body that have been exposed to the sun.

A chemical peel uses acid to remove layers of aged and damaged skin, revealing newer, softer skin. Acids typically used range from very mild to very strong. Stronger acids like trichloracetic acid (TCA) are used for a deeper peel to correct acne scarring, serious pigmentation problems or fine wrinkles.

A chemical peel can be performed at any adult age as long as there is enough damaged skin to be removed.

Of course, you will continue to age following your chemical peel. However, you will be starting with virtually new skin. Taking great care of your skin going forward will also maximize the benefits of your chemical peel. Limiting sun exposure, not smoking and limiting your alcohol intake will also help maximize the benefits of this procedure.

Your face will be red, flushed, possibly scabby and may peel for up to two weeks after your treatment. Your skin will likely feel tight and for medium depth peels such as a TCA Peel, expect several days of discomfort and tenderness as your skin heals itself by crusting. It may be a few weeks until you see pink, new skin. It is crucial that you protect your skin from the sun as you would for any baby’s new skin.

People who get cold sores (herpes simplex infections) should start antiviral medications prescribed by their doctor one week prior to treatment and continue taking these medications for two weeks after the peel to prevent reactivation of the cold sores. All clients should use high SPF sunscreens prior to and after peel. Those with darker skin may require pretreatment with hydroquinone.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves puncturing the skin repeatedly with tiny, sterile needles. This is extremely effective for treating acne scarring and wrinkles. Professional Microneedling offers deeper penetration which induces faster results compared to your regular at home dermarolling treatments.

Anyone seeking skin rejuvenation or tighter & firmer skin on the face and body. It works well for individuals with: fine lines & moderate wrinkles, acne scarring, stretch marks, traumatic scars, burn wounds, hyperpigmentation and epidermal pigment.

The number of treatments you will need will depend on what your goal is and if we are treating your face or body. For facial rejuvenation, it is recommended to receive 4-6 treatments. Acne scars require 6-8 treatments, depending on severity and depth.

Not necessarily. Anytime you deal with puncturing your skin there is a possibility of feeling uncomfortable. However, we will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area 45 mins prior to your procedure to make your treatment as stress free as possible.

Scars must be at least 1 year old because all scars go through many changes in the first year after an injury.

You can apply makeup, exercise & resume daily activities the next day. The day of your procedure you will appear red and by day two you may experience some slight swelling and redness, and some sunburn-like pink skin. Usually by the third day swelling subsides and over the next week post procedure your skin may feel tight, dry and more sensitive.

Absolutely! Because microneedling may trigger an outbreak, you should see your doctor to have an anti-viral medication prescribed to you prior to your treatment.

Someone who has active acne, history of keloid scars, scleroderma, collagen vascular diseases or cardiac abnormalities, actinic keratosis, eczema, skin cancer, sebaceous hyperplasia, an active bacterial or fungal infection, woman who are pregnant or nursing, anyone who has used Accutane within the last 6 months or Botox and/or filler within 2 weeks
